MARCH in the Boston Pride Parade June 8th

Hello:

Please come join us and promote Tennis4all by marching with us in the Boston pride parade on June 8th.

This is a wonderful chance to socialize with fellow Tennis4all members and to market our league.  It’s a big part of our marketing campaign to grow the league.

Please let me know if you are interested in marching and I can provide you with more information.

Sincerely,

Steve Menichetti

Seeking 5 more for T4A volunteer night 5/31

Hi, we still need 5 more people for Tennis4All Volunteer Night at Community Servings in Jamaica Plain on Friday, May 31 from 6 pm to 8 pm. We’ll be doing food preparation at Community Servings and then we can grab a bite or drink in JP afterward. Let me know if you can join – friends and “tennis spouses” welcome too.

Can’t make May 31? Reach out to me (stevebackhaus@hotmail.com) to organize a Tennis4All Volunteer night at Community Servings, Greater Boston Food Bank, or another local charity sometime this year.

Steve Backhaus, T4A Board & Treasurer

Boston Tennis Classic – HELP and RAFFLE ITEMS NEEDED

Dear Tennis4all members,

Did you know that this year’s Boston Tennis Classic (BTC) has earned Masters (think Jedi NOT S & M) status from the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA)? It also won the Best Large Tournament for 2018!

This year’s BTC will take place June 14-16 at the Beren Tennis Center at Harvard University with a banquet on Saturday night at the Ben Franklin Institute of Technology.  The Tennis4All Board of Directors want to make this year’s tournament the best ever.

You are probably thinking ? “How can I help?”

WE NEED RAFFLE PRIZES!!  As part of the tournament, there is a raffle that supports a charity, New England Wheelchair Sports.

We are looking for high quality raffle items that can be used by people who travel from all over the world. Great items include hotel stays, airline tickets (does anyone work for an airline?), gift certificates to places like Tennis Warehouse, Grand Slam tickets or anything else that you might be able to think of. Please let me know if you might be able to help!

What else do we need? VOLUNTEERS!!

PEOPLE TO WORK THE TOURNAMENT DESK – this would involve greeting people, putting matches out on court and collecting scores.

BANQUET SET UP AND BREAK DOWN – this would involve helping set up and break down the banquet at the Ben Franklin Institute – have a gift for decorating?  Don’t keep that talent a secret!  Help us!!

Thanks for your support.  Let’s showcase our great city and make this year’s Boston Tennis Classic the best ever.

Sincerely,

Steve Menichetti, President of Tennis4All
