We’re excited to return again this year to weekend tennis camp at Stratton Mountain in beautiful southern Vermont August 18-20, 2023. We have room for up to 20 players to join. All tennis levels are welcome. This year, we’re planning to take the fun up a notch with a Saturday night cookout and pickleball social at their new pickleball courts (fully optional for you tennis purists).
Full payment reserves your spot. You will be responsible for booking your own lodging. While we cannot book your lodging for you, we can help match you up with others looking for roommates.
Weekend Tennis Getaway ($250 base price plus $10 PayPal fee*)
Run by the Cliff Drysdale Tennis School at Stratton Mountain, the getaway package is designed to enjoy the morning out on the tennis courts and spending Saturday afternoon and evening exploring the mountain, nearby Manchester, or playing pickleball on the new pickleball courts or more tennis on their newly renovated hard courts. Clinics and lessons are conducted on their clay courts. The clinics will have a 4:1 player to pro ratio with 1 pro per court.
Tennis4All has gotten a discounted rate of $250 (price is $280 if purchased direct). The weekend package includes:
- Friday Night Round Robin and Mixer (Meet the Pros) 5:30 -7:00 pm
- Saturday Morning Escape Clinic 9:30 am-12 pm
- Sunday Morning Escape Clinic 9:30 am-12 pm
- 1 60-minute 1:1 private lesson scheduled during the weekend or before the weekend
- Optional if you can handle this much tennis: Cardio tennis Saturday and Sunday morning 8:30 to 9:30 am.
- Use of the facility including newly renovated hard courts and new pickleball courts
The tennis pros plan to put the same level players on the same court during the clinics, so you will have the opportunity to learn and practice with players close to your level.

How to Register
Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Your spot is not confirmed until you have registered on the Tennis4All website and paid in full*. You can cancel for a full refund minus Paypal or Venmo fee until one week before, by August 11, 2023. We ask that you try to cancel as far out as possible so that players on the waiting list can have advanced notice.
*Want to save a little money? *To save $10 by avoiding the Paypal fee, you may send a check for $250 within one week to Treasurer Steve Backhaus. Or, to save $5, Venmo $255 to @tennis4all. If paying by Venmo or check, contact Steve (stevebackhaus@hotmail.com) for address. Your spot is not confirmed until full payment is received.
Lodging
The tennis package does NOT include lodging, and you are responsible for booking your own lodging. If you’d like assistance in finding roommates to share lodging, please contact stevebackhaus@hotmail.com, and we will try to assist. Although you are welcome to stay in lodging outside of Stratton Mountain, staying at Stratton Mountain resort will be the closest and most convenient option. You can find and book lodging directly at stratton.com.
Meals
The tennis package also does NOT include meals, and you are responsible for your own meals. We will likely go to Honeypie after the mixer on Friday (you’ll love Honeypie — try the actual honey pie). On Saturday, we are planning an outdoor cookout next to the pickleball courts with a pickleball social. There will be additional costs for the cookout, which is optional. Details will be shared closer to the date.
